Easy Touch Insulin Syringes Voluntary Recall Expanded

On April 24, 2018, MHC Medical Products issued a voluntary recall of Easy Touch Insulin Syringes. This recall was issued because the packaging may not be labeled correctly. The manufacturer’s carton might be labeled with the wrong lot number.

This may represent a potential health hazard or safety risk to plan members who may be using product affected by this recall.

A complete list of the affected products is provided here:

To see if you have affected product, please check the lot number. The lot number is on the back panel of the manufacturer’s carton by the UDI/QR Code and on the back side of the poly bag containing the syringes by the UDI/QR Code. If the lot number on the manufacturer’s carton or the poly bag does not show it’s from lot numbers 45014 or 45016, it is not affected by this recall. If the lot number on the manufacturer’s carton or the poly bag doesshow it’s from lot numbers 45014 or 45016, it is affected by this recall. If you product is affected by this recall, please contact the pharmacy that filled your prescription for further instructions.

You should not continue to use product that is affected by this recall. Please call your doctor right away for advice if you may be using affected product or if you do not know if you used affected product or not. Your doctor is familiar with your medical history and can suggest the best treatment option for you. If you need a prescription for a different medicine, please call your doctor.
